2 hurt, 3 arrested in fight at Laundromat

UPDATE @ 7 p.m.: An apparent ongoing dispute at a Laundromat led to fisticuffs between two males and the arrest of a mother and son.

According to a Dayton police incident report, officers were dispatched to Laundro-Mania, 1060 S. Smithville Road. just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on a report of an assault.

Officers were able to determine that the 18-year-old alleged victim and the 17-year-old suspect began fighting when they encountered each other at the Laundromat.

The row apparently was so intense that both young men sought medical attention at area hospitals, according to the incident report. The alleged victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said in the incident report. He has been discharged from Miami Valley Hospital.

Police said they arrested the 17-year-old, and also took his 57-year-old mother and 28-year-old brother to jail on unrelated charges.

The suspect’s 28-year-old brother, Scott Finfrock, remained in the Montgomery County Jail on Thursday evening on a felony charge of aggravated assault as well as warrants out of Beavercreek on misdemeanor charges.

Finfrock is due in court Friday morning on the dustup at the Laundromat. His bond on the Beavercreek charges is $5,000, according to online jail records.

Their mother, Deborah Finfrock, was booked into jail on misdemeanor charges of falsification and obstructing official business and released.

A 28-year-old Dayton man was arrested for felonious assault.

A police report says the victim was attacked at a Laundromat on South Smithville Road yesterday evening.

Scott Finfrock is in Montgomery County Jail now.

The victim went to Miami Valley Hospital with critical injuries, according to police.
