Inattention likely reason for Kettering car crash

UPDATE @ 7:45 p.m.: Inattention most likely is the reason for the Kettering car crash that left the vehicle on its top, with the 76-year-old driver inside.

Kettering Sgt. Brad Lambert said the woman for unknown reason left the roadway and hit the center median in the 900 block of Lincoln Park Boulevard at about 5:15 p.m. That caused her Ford Fiesta to "pop up," hit a small tree and flip over onto its top.

"It was kind of a slow roll onto its hood," the sergeant said, "but it was enough to trap her for a brief period."

The woman, who was on her way home from work, was taken to Kettering Memorial Hospital suffering from minor injuries. She was cited for failure to control a motor vehicle, Lambert said.
