The death is under investigation by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and State of Ohio Bureau of Investigation. The Tri-County Regional Jail is located on Ohio 559 in Mechanicsburg.
Standley was in jail on a parole violation.
The death is the second probable suicide at the Tri-County Regional Jail this year. No suicides were recorded there in 2012.
