The principals, along with the district’s school resource officer, immediately conducted an investigation and began questioning a number of students, the district said.
During the course of the investigation, a student did admit to bringing the BB gun to school in a book bag on Friday, March 31. The district was never notified about the incident until Monday, when an investigation was launched.
“We take this incident very seriously as student safety is our number one priority,” the district said in a statement. “The student involved will be disciplined according to district policies surrounding this type of action.
