Springfield police said they seized two phones during their investigation and officers are working to see if any inappropriate photos are on them.
Investigators said the students met with the school resource officer and the juvenile court STOP program, which is a program in place that is similar to a diversion program.
As long as there is no further violation, the students would not actually face criminal charges, police said.
A district spokesperson said the district will wait until the police investigation is completed, before they decide whether the school needs to launch an investigation of its own.
