Jesse Ray Woods, 36, of Troy, was arraigned Monday on misdemeanor charges of assault and disorderly conduct in Miami County Municipal Court. His cash bond was set at $2,500.
For other unrelated probation violations, Woods is being held in jail without bond.
Troy police answered a call of an altercation in the area of Paradise Trail. Both the victim and defendant had fled the scene before police arrived, but have since been located.
The incident remains under investigation.
UPDATE @ 2:15 a.m. (March 5)
Police said that they no longer believe anyone was shot after conducting an investigation on Paradise Trail.
Officers told our crew that two men were in an argument at the house when one hit the other in the head with a gun, updating the initial dispatch of a reported shooting.
Both people fled the scene, but officers never found the assault victim. The other man was located and is currently being questioned by investigators with charges pending.

Police said a shooting victim has yet to be found but continue to have a home surrounded by crime scene tape.
Officers said they are still investigating what occurred in the 1700 block of Paradise Trail, and were not ready to give an official update.

FIRST REPORT
Police and medics in Troy have responded to a reported shooting early Saturday morning.
Emergency units were dispatched to a house in the 1700 block of Paradise Trail around 12:20 a.m. on a disturbance call with one person reported shot.
Reports indicate both the victim and suspect have fled area and police are working to locate both people.
