Man with disturbing tattoo arrested after break-in

A man with a disturbing tattoo across his hands was arrested Friday after breaking into a Dayton home.

Matthew Chatterton, 25, faces a possible felony burglary charge, as well as several misdemeanors after the incident.

At 3:17 p.m., Dayton police were called to a home in the 100 block of South Jersey Street on reports of a disorderly subject. The home's owner, apparently a relative of Chatterton's, said he was not welcome in the house and had a warrant out.

Chatterton was found inside the home's basement, after he broke in through a window, according to a police report.

Officers eventually arrested Chatterton, who did have an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a Montgomery County court.

Police found five syringes and other drug abuse instruments in his jacket.

The report indicates Chatterton had a tattoo across his knuckles that read "Kill Cops."
