New Lebanon man gets up to life in prison for child rape

A New Lebanon man was sentenced today to 31½ years to life in prison for the rape of a Brookville child.

Jonathan Conrad Boehme Jr. was convicted Aug. 18 of three counts of rape of a child younger than 13 and one count of gross sexual imposition by force following a jury trial in which his victim had to testify, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Prosecutors said Boehme, 38, raped a pre-teen Brookville child on multiple occasions between 2012 and 2015. He was sentenced to 10 years to life on each rape count, ordered to be served concurrently, plus 18 months on the gross sexual imposition charge for a total prison sentence of 31½ years to life.

Boehme also is classified as a Tier III sex offender, meaning he must register his address with his local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life once he is released from prison.
