The checkpoint, held from 7 to 11 p.m. in the 4600 block of North Main Street in Harrison Twp., saw 593 cars pass through, according to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The checkpoint resulted in: six citations for driving under suspension; a citation for no driver’s license, one seat belt citation and one headlight citation.
Related patrols yielded two citations for driving under suspension and one citation for no plates.
Deputies and officers from the Combined Agency OVI Task Force will be out conducting OVI patrols throughout the July Fourth holiday, according to the release.
FIRST REPORT (July 3):
The Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force tonight will conduct a sobriety checkpoint.
The OVI checkpoint will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. the 4600 block of North Main Street in Harrison Twp.

Ohio law requires law enforcement to announce times and locations of OVI checkpoints ahead of time.
Checkpoint locations are chosen based on statistical data, according to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies made 38 arrests for impaired driving at or near the proposed checkpoint location in 2018, and in 2017, deputies made 110 arrests in the same area for impaired driving.
