- The robber threatened more than a dozen customers, took undisclosed amount of cash
- The weapon is believed to be one of two pellet guns the robber stole from a Walmart
- No shots were fired and no one was injured
UPDATE @ 5:50 p.m.: Investigators later believed the weapon was an air-powered pellet gun the man shoplifted from a Walmart moments before the bank robbery, Englewood Sgt. Mike Lang said.
“The branch was full of customers at the time. About 15 to 18 customers were here,” Lang said. “He ordered everyone to the ground, proceeded to take money from two tellers and then left the bank.”
No shots were fired and no one was injured, Lang said.
The suspect shoplifted two pellet guns from the Walmart and the gun used is consistent with the shoplifted replica guns, Lang said, noting the gun that was used looks real.
