Sidney police arrest 3 in drug raid

Police in Sidney raided a house Monday morning and arrested three people suspected of cocaine possession.

With assistance from Piqua officers and the Shelby County Sheriff's Office who are part of a "joint tactical response team," Sidney police executed the search at approximately 7 a.m. in the 300 block of South Main Avenue, according to a release from Sidney police.

An undisclosed amount of cocaine was seized, as were guns, money and paraphernalia, according to the release.

Arrested were residents Troy Welsh, 24, Tonya Home, 33, and Jason K. Smith, 37, according to the release.

None of the suspects were on the Shelby County Jail roster Monday afternoon.
