A warrant for his arrest was issued in June after two men were struck by bullets as they stood on the porch of a home on Buckeye Street June 19, according to court documents.
The victims identified Strodes as one of the two men that show at them from a passing vehicle, police said.
Strodes is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
UPDATE @ 6:15 p.m. 6/19/2015: Police have identified the two shooting victims, who are 16 and 31, not 17 and 31 as police originally reported.
The 31-year-old victim is Aaron Roberts of Springfield.
We will not be naming the 16-year-old who was shot because he is a juvenile.
UPDATE @ 3 p.m. 6/19/2015: Police have given us new information from the shooting. Both victims were male. A 17-year-old teen was shot in the buttocks, and a 30-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. We are waiting to learn their names.
According to Chief Stephen Moody, both were treated at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The teen has been released from the hospital. The man is expected to be released later today.
Moody said police are getting “unclear information” from witnesses during their investigation, and they could not verify if it was a drive-by shooting.
A gas line ruptured during the incident and while officers responded to the scene. Moody said it’s unknown whether a bullet hit the gas line, or what caused the leak.

An unidentified victim was reportedly taken to a local hospital by a personal vehicle.
Multiple shots were fired, and the gas meter at the home was struck as the house was evacuated. Columbia gas shut off the gas quickly, according to witnesses at the scene.
There are also lots of shell casings at the scene, and bullet holes could be seen in the house and windows. Investigators were reportedly setting up evidence cards and the area has been cordoned off with crime scene tape.
