Teen reports mess, missing items after party

UNION (Sept. 9): With his parents out of town, a 17-year-old threw a party, apparently for a group of people he did not know, and later reported a theft and mess at his home.

Officers found uncooked Ramen noodles on the floor and a mess on the kitchen table, including an ice cream container, four yogurt cups with metal spoons, a fruit punch can, and wrappers for string cheese.

There was also a pile of what appeared to be cigar tobacco and marijuana stems on the table.

The youth reported several electronic devices missing, and he showed empty boxes for all of them.

The teen said two of his friends suggested a party and between 15 and 20 people showed up, although he said he did not know who they were. He did not know where his wallet was with $55 inside, although police found the wallet behind the entertainment center.

The victim reported he took home two of the party-goers at 7 a.m. and arrived back home two hours later to find the mess. He thinks someone might have walked in through the open garage.

At least he was helpful. When police arrived, the barefoot boy said he was questioning neighbors to find out if they saw anything.
