Dozens turned out for a candlelight vigil to remember the lives of two young people killed in a vehicle accident overnight in the 3100 block of Columbus Road.
Prayers and songs were offered at the site of the crash, near Croft Road, that occurred in the early Tuesday morning.
Tristin K. Sherman, 18, Springfield High School senior, and 21-year-old Juan S. Compton died in the accident the Ohio Highway Patrol said occurred as the Nissan four-door they were in went off the right side of road on a curve near Croft Road and hit a utility pole on the driver’s side.
The driver, 19-year-old Angel Rojas, was still being sought Tuesday night. He was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
The other occupants — Devin Moore and Ashley Predmore, 19 and 18, were injured. Predmore attended the vigil. Moore remains in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital.
