Warren County church’s school threat case: Teen told to apologize

Like a 16-year-old Little Miami School student sentenced earlier in the day, the 13-year-old was ordered by Judge Joe Kirby to write a letter of apology to his principal at St. Margaret of York School in Deerfield Twp. and complete 25 hours of community service while on probation.

He received credit for seven days in detention while the case was pending, and the remainder of a 90-day detention sentence was suspended, provided he follow conditions, including continued counseling and a prohibition barring access to any weapons.

His father was to receive all electronic devices seized in the case.

The boy was detained after posting a Snapchat story stating, “Who wants to die last in my school shooting/bombing? Swipe up and state your hobby and why you should die last, and if you don’t then you will die long and painfully,” according to court records.
