Dayton Man Arrested In Piqua Rape

Piqua police arrested a man accused in the robbery, beating and rape of a woman.

Officers said James Deonte Brooks of Dayton turned himself in Thursday night.

He allegedly attacked the victim at a home on Wayne Street Wednesday night and threatened her with a gun.

Police found the woman's cell phone and handbag at the home where Brooks was staying, along with a sawed off shotgun.

He is facing one count of rape and more charges could follow.
