Miami U. Issues Tuition Freeze For In-State Students

Officials at Miami University said the school will not raise tuition next year for some of its students.

In-state students will not have to pay more, but the university is planning a 6 percent increase for out-of-state students.

No Ohio students will pay more than $11,500 to attend Miami. The expected cost for out-of-state students for the next school year is more than $25,000.

By maintaining the in-state tuition, Miami is abiding by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland’s plan to freeze tuition costs in the state.
