When she checked back bedroom door handle, she said it felt hot and led her to believe that room is where the fire started.
She got outside of the house to call 911 and warn her neighbors in case the fire spread. The fire then engulfed her home.
“Fire started shooting out of the bedroom window,” Senwick said. “I was on the phone with 911 when the fire started shooting out.”
Senwick said that she cannot live in the home and that a Springfield fire marshal has contacted the American Red Cross for assistance.
There is no word on the cause of the fire or the cost of the damage.
