New Plasma Center To Open In Dayton

A new plasma donation center in Dayton will be bringing 40 new jobs.

Talecris Plasma Resources Donor Center, which is located on Salem Avenue, will open next week.

The center will pay for donations of plasma, the liquid in blood, which is sold to research companies looking to treat people with immune deficiencies, hemophilia, and other rare illnesses.

The total economic impact of the center is estimated at $12 million.
