Southview Medical Center Welcomes New Offerings

The holidays are always cause for celebration, but this year residents of Centerville, Washington Township and surrounding communities can celebrate expanded access to specialized health services on the Southview Medical Center campus.

A public open house will ring in several new offerings on the campus at 1997 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, beginning at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15.

There will be refreshments, free gifts, health screenings and holiday gift card drawings. In addition, officials will offer tours of the new Hand Center of Southwest Ohio, Cardiac/Vascular Lab, Endoscopy Center and the expansive physical therapy area featured at Yankee Medical Center. The Sleep Lab and Southview Maternity Center will also open their doors to show off their exceptional facilities.

This memorable evening will conclude with a special 7 p.m. performance by the Kettering Adventist Choir, Brass and Handbells.

“If it has been a while since you have been on the Southview grounds, you are in for quite a surprise,” said Southview Medical Center Senior Executive Officer Greg Henderson. “We now have southwest Ohio’s only specialized surgery and therapy center for hand injuries. Before our Hand Center, people would have to travel 90 minutes or more for this kind of service.”

“We also now have a cardiac catheterization lab, the most significant tool a hospital can have for the treatment of heart attack,” Henderson added. “Our endoscopy area is another very significant addition, and you just can’t beat the convenient access to all these services at the intersection of I-675 in State Route 725.”

Prior to the public celebration, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for physicians, administrators and support personnel at 2 p.m. About 400 people are expected to attend this event, with addresses by Henderson, Grandview Medical Center President Roy Chew, Kettering Health Network CEO Frank Perez and Hand Center Medical Director Brent Bamberger, DO.
