Dayton Public Schools to distribute food on Wednesdays

Food distribution in Dayton Public Schools will now happen on Wednesday to make it safer and more efficient.

Each Wednesday, students who visit a distribution site will receive enough meals to last five days. This will include five breakfasts and five lunches, according to a release issued by the district Tuesday night.

Food delivery for those who already signed up will occur between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesdays. Students must be present for food to be delivered.

Food distribution will continue between 9 a.m. and noon each Wednesday at the following sites:

Rosa Parks Early Learning Center

Kiser Elementary

Ruskin Elementary

Westwood Elementary

Louise Troy Elementary

Edwin Joel Brown Middle School

Wright Brothers Middle School

Belmont High School

All DPS students and children younger than 18 are eligible to receive these meals. More information is at DaytonPublic.com.
