Longtime superintendent plans to resign

Longtime West Carrollton City School District Superintendent Rusty Clifford plans to resign.

Clifford, who has been the top administrator in the district since 1999, said he has notified the board of education of his decision to resign this summer and plans to announce it next month.

Clifford, 66, was named 2013 Ohio Superintendent of the Year by the Buckeye Association of School Administrators. He came to West Carrollton from the Kettering City School District, where he taught and coached before serving several years as an administrator.
