McFall named development director for Oakwood Schools Foundation

The Oakwood Schools Foundation has named Brandy McFall as its next development director.

McFall has spent the majority of her career in local non-profit fundraising and comes to OSF from the Dayton Art Institute (DAI), where she served as senior sponsorship officer and development director during her tenure.

Prior to the DAI, McFall was the director of development for Foundation Relations at the University of Dayton.

“She will bring with her extensive experience in a variety of types of education fundraising from her time at UD, as well as fundraising for high-quality art education programming and mission-based initiatives at the DAI,” according to the Oakwood Foundation.

In the development director’s position, McFall will provide fundraising and development leadership and oversight to the growth and development of the Oakwood Schools Foundation. This includes the annual fund, major giving and planned giving to sustain the mission of the foundation.

She will report jointly to the board of the foundation and to the vice president of development at The Dayton Foundation.

McFall has also worked with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Miami Valley, where she held a variety of development responsibilities.

McFall has a BA in political science from Ohio University. While at OU, she spent a semester studying abroad at Shandong University in Shandong, China, as a part of OU’s flagship study abroad program in Asia. She has also attended UD’s Center for Leadership and received a certificate in the Emerging Leader Program in 2017.

McFall and her husband, Patrick, have lived in Oakwood for six years. The couple has two children, Gwenyth, 8, and Charlie, 5.
