Springboro fund-raiser to benefit community assistance center

The Five Points Elementary PTO spirit-wear fundraiser will benefit the Springboro Community Assistance Center.

Before COVID-19 concerns came to the community, the PTO was finalizing its plans with Image Mark-It, a local printing/embroidering company in downtown Springboro.

“A few days into the quarantine, the Five Points Elementary PTO made the decision to shift the focus of their fund-raising efforts. In light of the current situation affecting those all around, it didn’t feel right to have a spirit-wear fundraiser when so many people in the community and surrounding areas are hurting,” according to a press release issued Monday by the school district.

The assistance center, which has been helping families in need since 2007, is to receive all proceeds from the fundraiser.
