Payroll Project: Lebanon’s highest-paid employees

Of the 11 Lebanon city employees paid more than $100,000 last year, three worked in the police department, two in the fire department, two in the electric department, one in the water department, and the rest held administrative positions, according to a searchable database of payroll records assembled by the I-Team.

The number of city employees entering the $100K club increased by two since 2014, including an additional member of the electric department. The Division of Electric, which started in 1895, owns and operates its own transmission and distribution systems, as well as a 30-megawatt power-generation plant, according to the city's website.

The city of 20,293 residents had 94 public servants earning more than $50,000 in 2015, compared to 92 the year prior.

The five highest-paid Lebanon employees last year were:

1. City Manager George Clements: $136,963

2. Deputy City Manager Scott Brunka: $112,423

3. City Auditor Sharee Dick: $107,950

4. Chief of Police Jeffrey Mitchell: $107,597

5. Director of Electric Shawn Coffey: $107,106
