1,800-plus pucker up for lipstick mark at Kings Island

The event was part of the amusement park's Kicks Cancer campaign to raise awareness and money for Pink Ribbon Girls.

According to Kings Island public relations, 1,821 people applied lipstick at the same time, smearing the previous record of 1,384, achieved by Avon Romania at a mall in March.

It's the third record broken at the park this month, following the most applying sunscreen and most getting their heads shaved, according to the park.

The campaign began July 25 and has raised more than $110,000 (as of Saturday) and continues until Aug. 24.

Proceeds benefit the Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More and Pink Ribbon girls.
