X*ACT presents ‘The Sunshine Boys’

Neil Simon’s two cantankerous actors, Al Lewis and Willy Clark, will begrudgingly appear on stage together again when Xenia Area Community Theater presents “The Sunshine Boys.”

The one-time vaudevillian team, known as “Lewis and Clark,” grew, over the course of 40-odd years, to not only hate each other but to not speak to each other off-stage throughout the final year of their act.

When CBS asks them to do a “History of Comedy” retrospective, a grudging reunion brings the two back together, along with a flood of memories, miseries and laughs.

X*ACT will present “The Sunshine Boys” from January 25 through February 3, with 7:30 p.m. performances on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sunday matinees.

There will be an Opening Night Gala, with wine and hors d’oeuvres, on January 25, prior to the show.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for students and seniors. Season subscriptions are also available. Tickets for the Opening Night Gala are $20 or $35 for couples.

X*ACT is located at 45 East Second Street in Xenia.
