The Monday and Wednesday class begins on May 3 and meets from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Tuesday and Thursday class meets from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The Saturday class starts May 1 and meets from 10 a.m. to noon. One evening class is scheduled 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning May 4. Middletown Christian School auction items needed
Middletown Christian School’s spring auction is on May 8 and the school is looking for donated items for the auction. Anyone who would like to donate can arrange to drop off items at the school by calling (513) 420-1570. Pick up can be arranged for bigger items like furniture, appliances. All donations directly benefit the school and are tax deductible.
Choraliers to present “Dance the Night Away”
Edgewood High School’s annual dinner theater, featuring the award-winning Choraliers, will be Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1, in the Edgewood High School Auditorium, with a “Dance The Night Away” theme, including their “Opposites” competition show.
Dinner will be served each evening at 6 p.m. followed by the show at 7:30 p.m. The menu will be turkey and dressing, roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, choice of desserts, and drinks. The ticket prices are:
• $17 — Adult, dinner and show
• $12 — Senior citizens over 60 and students through high school, dinner and show
• $10 — Adult, show only
• $5 — Senior Citizens over 60 and students through high school, show only
• $2 — Printed program
Reserved seating is available by calling Virginia Earles, (513) 988-0789, 5-9 p.m., Monday to Friday and 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Show-only tickets will also be available at the door each evening until sold out.
A raffle with top prizes, gift cards, and various gift certificates from local businesses will be offered.
Community forum on superintendent search
Butler County Educational Services Center Superintendent Dan Hare will be conducting a question and answer session to gather information 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 27 in the Edgewood High School lecture on what qualities the Edgewood schools community would like to see in its new superintendent.
The forum is open to the community.
Spaghetti dinner, levy information session scheduled
The Committee for Excellent Schools will be hosting a spaghetti dinner from 6-7 p.m. at the Edgewood High School cafeteria. The dinner is open to the community. School officials and committee members will be on hand to answer questions about the upcoming substitute/renewal levy. The levy will be on the May 4 ballot.
Performances by the Edgewood High School Choraliers and the Pre-K choral Program will take place in the EHSD auditorium starting at 7 p.m.
