Antioch seeks comments for accreditation

Antioch College is seeking comments from the public about the college in preparation for an evaluation for candidacy by the regional accrediting agency, the school announced. The college currently holds no status with the Higher Learning Commission, but has initiated the process of seeking candidate status.

The commission will conduct a comprehensive evaluation Nov. 11-13 to determine if Antioch College should be awarded candidacy, according to the college.

Comments can be submitted through Oct. 11 online at ncahlc.org or through mail at: Public Comment on Antioch College; The Higher Learning Commission; 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500; Chicago, IL 60604-1411.

To be considered, all comments must be in writing and signed, and must address substantive issues related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. The comments should include the name, address and telephone number or email address of the person providing the remarks. Comments will not be treated as confidential, Antioch said. STAFF REPORT
