A man wanted after escaping police custody in Moraine was found hiding under a deck at a home on Southlyn Drive in Kettering, according to investigators.
Randy Sellars Jr., 30, was wanted for several burglaries, a robbery, auto theft and other charges across multiple jurisdictions, authorities said Monday.

Officers were able to find Sellars in the area of Hilton Drive and Melrose Avenue around 2:15 a.m. Saturday and a K-9 was used to help find him. Sellars ran from the wooded area he was spotted in and was eventually found hiding under the deck in the 1200 block of Southlyn, police said.

A man accused of escaping police custody in Moraine will appear in court Monday morning.
Randy Lee Sellars, 30, was caught after just over 24 hours on the lam. According to Moraine police, he escaped custody around 3 a.m. Saturday on South Dixie Drive. He then was suspected of breaking into a Southdale Drive home in Kettering and also stealing a car, police said.

Moraine police have not disclosed why they took Sellars into custody.
His escape prompted a multi-jurisdictional manhunt. Sellars was caught around 5 a.m. in German Twp. He was booked at 5:40 a.m. into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of felony charges of escape; grant theft; two counts of burglary; and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

Police still seek 30-year-old Randy Lee Sellars, a suspect in a home burglaries investigation who fled Moraine police custody early this morning.
Police called off searches in the West Carrollton area for Sellars, according to the Moraine Police Department. The searches involved a large number of officers from multiple jurisdictions, including Moraine and West Carrollton police and Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies.
Anyone who spots Sellars should call police are 911.

Police in Moraine and neighboring jurisdictions continue to look for 30-year-old Randy Lee Sellars, a home burglaries suspect who fled from Moraine officers early this morning.
The search has led to locations in West Carrollton, where Moraine officers are being assisted by Montgomery County deputies and West Carrollton police.

A man escaped police custody in Moraine overnight and he subsequently broke into at least one home in Kettering where he stole a vehicle.
Law enforcement across Montgomery County and nearby jurisdictions are being alerted to be on the lookout for 30-year-old Randy Lee Sellars, who may be driving a black 2010 Nissan Xterra.

Sellars reportedly was in custody by Moraine police but escaped around 3 a.m.
According to a Moraine police Facebook post, Sellars was last seen in the area of West Dorothy Lane and South Dixie Drive. He is suspected in several home burglaries, according to Moraine police.

The suspect is believed to have broken into a home on Southdale Drive in Kettering shortly after escaping, according to Kettering police.
