SPRINGBORO — The Springboro Optimist Club is selling Avenue of Flags gift certificates for $40.
Recipients get a 3-foot by 5-foot flag on a 10-foot pole flying at their house for every flag holiday in 2010.
Optimists are up before the sun to install flags in the 45066 zip code and then retrieve them at sundown.
A sleeve is installed on your property with a cap to keep grass clippings, mulch etc., from clogs. The sleeve and cap are installed at dirt level and won’t interfere with mowing.
Your flag will be installed on Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Veterans Day. Proceeds benefit children in our community.
