Bellbrook police warns of scam caller claiming to raise funds for department

The Bellbrook Police Department is warning residents to hang up the phone if a caller is soliciting funds for the department.

Bellbrook police said the department was recently notified that residents were receiving calls from a scammer claiming to collect money for police.

The department does not and will not call residents to solicit funding for any “fundraising” purposes, police said.
