Labor Day weekend is shaping up to be a shopping holiday with consumers expected to purchase big-ticket items for their homes, according to shopping experts.
Consumer confidence has reached an 18-year high this week, according to the Conference Board, and retail sales are now expected to grow 4.5 percent over 2017, according to the National Retail Federation.
Retailers are taking note by offering mattress discounts, tech deals, appliance sales and more for the Labor Day weekend.
If you are looking or a good night’s sleep, Mattress Firm is offering a free adjustable base on an order of over $599, Sears will have 50 to 60 percent off on top-brand mattresses and Kmart has all Serta mattresses on sale starting at $129, according to the Offers.com, a website touted as an “ultimate savings destination to save you time and money every day.”
Do you need a new dishwasher or fridge? Lowe’s and Home Depot are offering 40 percent discounts on appliances, according to Offers.com.
