According to fire investigators, the vehicle was a used car.
Evans Motorworks General Manager Jeff Anderson said the dealership’s BMW technician took the vehicle out for a test drive because a check engine light came on. The vehicle caught fire once the vehicle was parked back at the dealership, he said.
Firefighters are still working to determine what led the car to actually catch fire.
No injuries were reported.
