Board certifies Nov. 4 election

Miami County’s Board of Elections certified the vote from the Nov. 4 election Thursday, Nov. 20.

The official vote followed the processing of 366 provisional ballots cast on Election Day. Of those ballots, 41 were rejected by the board at a Nov. 19 meeting because the person voting did not provide a required signature or was not registered to vote.

The official count brought no changes of note to the election results for issues and candidates, said elections Director Drew Higgins. There were no votes close enough to qualify for an automatic recount and no requests for recount have been received.

The turnout for this election was 44.42 percent of the county’s 70,960 registered voters. STAFF REPORT
