Police investigate bomb threat reported at Thurgood Marshall High School

A bomb threat was reported at Thurgood Marshall High School Tuesday afternoon.

A message texted to 911 around 12:40 p.m. claimed a bomb was going to go off at the school around 1:30 p.m., according to dispatch records.

Several officers remained at the scene unit around 2:30 p.m. when people were allowed back in the building.

Officers cleared the scene shortly after but additional details about the investigation were not released.

In an emailed statement, Dayton Public Schools Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli deferred all questions on the investigation to Dayton police.

No injuries were initially reported.
