On Nov. 12 from 9 a.m.-noon the city invites residents who have moved here in 2015 or 2016 to enjoy a hot breakfast while meeting city officials. After breakfast, children will be entertained while adults visit with city representatives. An optional guided tour of the city is available. This free event will be held at the Adult Senior Center 305 E. Central Ave. Please register by Nov. 9.

Community Halloween party Oct. 31
On Oct. 31 from 8-9:30 p.m. the city will hold a Community Halloween Party in Wax Park after Beggars Night. There will be free hot dogs, pop and snacks plus music and a costume contest.
The costume contest starts at 8:10 p.m. and in this order: Ages 3 and under; Ages 4-6; Ages 7-9; Ages 10-15, Ages 16-21, Ages 22 and up under. There will be prizes for the costume contest winners
Moraine reaching out to youth
Moraine youth 10-17 years are invited to participate in the Reach Program. The program meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:30 p.m. The core of the program gets youth involved in community service, offers tutoring, broadens their horizons with experiences and life skills, and develops relationships with positive peer and adult mentors.
Youth will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, cultural arts, tutoring, and field trips. To participate in any of the events, they must be involved in core program activities.

Historical Society dinner Nov. 5
On Nov. 5 beginning at 7 p.m. the Germantown Historical Society will be holding its annual dinner and membership meeting at the Germantown Senior Center, 33 N. Cherry St. Prior to the dinner there will be wine and cheese at the Germantown Historical Society Museum, 47 W. Center St. The cost of dinner is $20 per person. Reservations must be returned by Oct. 28.

Costume Parade and Monster Mash today
The annual Costume Parade and Monster Mash event is today from 6-8 p.m. at the West Carrollton Civic Center.
Festivities include costumes, pumpkins, hayrides, carnival games, prizes and food.
The costume parade will line-up at 5:45 p.m. in front of the West Carrollton Middle School at 424 E. Main St. and concludes on the front lawn of the Civic Center, where the Lion’s Club judges costumes and awards prizes in several age groups.
