BEAVERCREEK

Road widening meeting March 6

On March 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Lofino Plaza Meeting Room, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road, the city of Beavercreek, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation, invites residents to attend a public involvement meeting to discuss the widening of Dayton-Xenia Road from E. Lynn Drive to Beaverbrook Drive to three lanes. This improvement will include a two-way left turn lane, vertical alignment improvements for sight distance, sidewalks along the north and south sides, storm sewer, and curb and gutter along the roadway.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, copies of the meeting materials will be available for review at the City of Beavercreek Engineering Office at 1368 Research Park Drive.

Those who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact the City of Beavercreek Engineering Department at 937-427-5513, at least 7 days prior to the meeting, for arrangements to be made.

Chamber to welcome new president

On March 12 Amanda Byers will be stepping into the role of Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, after working as a program manager for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce for nearly 12 years. In addition to working with membership recruitment, retention and sponsorship, Byers created and managed the Dayton Area Logistics Association, which has grown to over 250 participants. She also coordinated the Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council Board for 10 years. She has worked with legislators at both the state and local levels on a variety of issues.

BELLBROOK

Firefighter/paramedic candidates sought

The city of Bellbrook is accepting applications for the full-time position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Duties include fire prevention, emergency medical service, hazardous material response, search and rescue, and disaster assistance. The Bellbrook Fire Department is a combination Fire and EMS department with full-time, part-time and volunteer staff. The Bellbrook Fire Department serves a community of 7,000 residents from two fire stations.

FAIRBORN

High school presents Cinderella

On Feb. 22-24, join the Fairborn High School (FHS) Music Department for its production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

The show will start at 7 each night. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available in the FHS Finance Office, and will also be available at the door.
