Veterans Breakfast Ceremony Nov. 9

On Nov. 9, beginning at 8 a.m., Miami Township Veterans/Active Duty Military are invited to the 10th annual Veterans Breakfast at the Miami Valley Fire District Station 51, 10899 Wood Road, Miamisburg. The Miami Township Board of Trustees will honor our veterans and active duty military who have served or are serving with a ceremony and breakfast buffet. The event is free but you must RSVP. Medlar Conservation presentation Oct. 23

On Oct. 23, from 6-8 p.m. there will be a public presentation and open house for Medlar Conservation Area at the Miami Township Dayton Metro Library, 2718 Lyons Rd, Miamisburg

As the next step in implementing its 10-year comprehensive master plan, Five Rivers MetroParks is developing concept plans for each of its parks and facilities.

Five Rivers MetroParks is inviting the community to review and comment on park concept plans for its park locations during open houses this October.

Each open house will start with a presentation about the park’s concept plan to be followed by an opportunity for the public to have conversations with the designers and MetroParks staff about the concept plans. Additionally, all the concept plans will be available to view at each open house.

Rake rally Nov. 11

On Nov. 11 from 9 a.m.-noon, the West Carrollton City Beautiful Commission is hosting a Rake Rally. Any resident who would like to receive help during the event should call 937-859-5182 with their name and address by Nov. 8.

Zombie Fest Oct. 27-28

On Oct. 27-28 from 6-10 p.m. Slash Moraine has gone to the Zombies with Zombie Fest. This weekend fest will feature: The Zombie Run, where you’ll have to outrun Zombies; Hayrides and Spooktacular Trails; new scenes, ghouls and frights as you walk through the creepy buildings; a trunk or treat, teen dance and pet costume contest.
