TROTWOOD

Golf course to become a park

Five Rivers MetroParks plans to invest in a 10-year project to convert the Larch Golf Course in Trotwood into a park with paved trails and play space for children.

The MetroParks used a $1 million Clean Ohio grant to purchase and clean the golf course as well as other properties throughout the Miami Valley creating conservation areas and parks.

There is no set completion date, but officials hope to get a budget approved for the project before the end of the year.
