This year, Dayton will be joined by four other Ohio cities to celebrate a new statewide Ohio Burger Week during the same Aug. 17-23 time frame.
“Dayton restaurants are one of the greatest assets to our community and they need us now more than ever,” organizers said in an event news release. “For seven days, burger lovers will have the opportunity to travel to participating Dayton — or Ohio — Burger Week locations featuring $6 burgers to get their beefy burger love fulfilled. From gourmet blends to off-menu specialties, we will once again pay tribute to America’s sweetheart: the hamburger!”

The rising cost of beef, by the way, is reflected in the $6 price, organizers said. Last year the burgers cost $5 each.
Dayton Burger Week is intended for indoor dining, but with the current statewide restrictions on capacity due to the pandemic, some restaurants may offer their Burger Week special for carryout or curbside pickup, organizers said.

Burger “passports” will be available at participating Burger Week locations and online. Diners who score four or more stamps on their passports can enter to win an “ultimate grill-out party” courtesy of the Ohio Beef Council.
Participating restaurants will be announced soon at www.daytonburgerweek.com.
