“Right now, we have a day or less supply of o and b on our shelves,” said Sher Patrick of CBC. “This week’s snow and ice slowed down blood drives … If there is a major accident or a lot of trauma, we would be hard pressed to meet those needs.”
To donate blood you must be at least 17, in good health and weigh at least 110 ten pounds. The Community Blood Center is encouraging people of all blood types to donate. To find out how, log onto the CBC website.
