Military children make many sacrifices throughout their lives. To honor their service, April has been designated Month of the Military Child. To celebrate, Child and Youth Programs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will host “Wheels of Wonder” April 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Prairies housing area at the corner of Cobb and Spinning Roads.

Families can tour different vehicles, including dump trucks, emergency vehicles and others. Visiting vehicles are from Wright-Patterson as well as the local community. The event is free and open to families and children of all ages.

For more information, contact Child and Youth Programs at 937-656-8688.

Prizes are awarded to each age group. Submissions will be on display at the BX. Deadline to submit artwork is April 26. Rules and entry forms can be picked up at the A&FRC. For additional information, call 257-3592.
