According to the preliminary investigation, Jennifer Kester, 235 Jackson Drive, was headed north on 127 when she went left of center and hit the rear tires of a 2002 International semitrailer driven by 62-year-old LeRoy E. Pohlman of Maria Stein.
The semitrailer, owned by Mercer Landmark, was headed south on US 127. Pohlman and Kester were the lone occupants of their vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office.
Kester’s vehicle went off the east side of the road where it came to rest. The semi proceeded south and stopped at 127 and Clover Four Road.
Kester died at the scene; Pohlman was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.
