Centerville City BBQ reopening after car strike

City BBQ in Centerville will reopen today for normal business hours following Thursday’s crash, according to the restaurant.

City BBQ will remain closed today after a car crashed into the building.

“We’re hoping to reopen the building as early as tomorrow,” City BBQ Vice President of Operations Monti Tarmey said.

UPDATE @ 1:57 p.m.

Three people were taken to a local hospital after a car crashed into the City BBQ restaurant in Centerville.

A 79-year-old woman was trying to park her car when she lost control and hit the building, according to officials.

Three people who were inside of the restaurant were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was not injured.

The building is temporarily closed.

UPDATE @ 1:29 p.m.:

Multiple medics are on the scene at the City BBQ location at the corner of Ohio 48 and Ohio 725 in downtown Centerville.

A vehicle struck the building around 1 p.m.

It’s unclear if there are any injuries, however initial reports indicated that there were multiple people injured.

Ohio 725 is closed at the intersection of Ohio 48, while emergency crews work at the crash scene.

INITIAL REPORT:

Police and fire crews are on the scene on a reported vehicle crashed into the City BBQ location in Centerville.

The crash was reported around 1 p.m.

There are reports of possible injuries, according to initial reports.
