Group: Kettering Children’s Choir

When was it? One hundred singers of the 200-member group performed with the Air Force Band of Flight Nov. 3 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in the hall of Modern Flight.

How did it go? “It was wonderful,” artistic director Natalie DeHorn said. “It was far beyond what I was expecting. I knew it would be very inspiring to have the kids with the band and inspiring to have veterans in the audience, but to see the kids and veterans faces, there was such a communication between them. It was the warmest feeling.”

What was the best part? “Watching the kids interact with the vets. At the very end we sang ‘America’,” DeHorn said. “It was so exciting to have the band playing and the kids singing. It was a very patriotic moment.”
