Club Oceano reopens for carryout, delivery

Locally owned independent restaurant joins a growing number of eateries resuming operations, will serve daily

The locally owned and independent restaurant Club Oceano Seafoood & Bar at The Greene Town Center is is joining a growing list of restaurants resuming carryout and delivery operations this week.

"We took a little break for you, but now we're back," the restaurant's owners announced yesterday, April 16, on Facebook. "We spent some time developing a system with your safety in mind, along with a special menu of carryout items."

“Beginning Friday, April 17, daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Club Oceano Seafood and Bar will have curbside pickup available along with DoorDash delivery.”

“To place an order for pickup, simply call 937-912-9550 or 937-988-0909, or find us on DoorDash. We can’t wait to see you again.”

Club Oceano, which opened its doors in September 2019, had shut down on March 21 due to the coronavirus pandemic and statewide shutdown of all dine-in service at Ohio restaurants and pubs. Club Oceano’s founders are Raymond Chow, Sam Zheng and Brian Andzik. Chow and Zheng are co-founders of Sky Asian Cuisine, an Asian restaurant in Kettering. Andzik has served for 28 years as chairman and organizer of the Italian Fall Festa.

Several other restaurants and food-related shops at The Greene remain open for carryout, including Ace Asian, Cheesecake Factory, Cheryl's Cookies, Chipotle, Coldstone Creamery, Fleming’s Steakhouse, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Noodles & Co., Panera Bread, Pasha Grill, Pies & Pints, Potbelly Sandwiches, The Pub and Winans Chocolates & Coffees.

It’s been a busy week for Miami Valley restaurants deciding to jump back into carryout service. Club Oceano joins KD’s Kettering BBQ, Mr. Bourbon in Trotwood, Calypso Grill and Smokehouse in Yellow Springs, the Sunrise Café in Yellow Springs, Bear Creek Donuts in Miamisburg and the Donut Haus in Springboro in resuming operations this week. And El Meson in West Carrollton announced earlier today, April 17, that it would resume carryout and delivery on April 30.
