Commissioner appointed new assistant director

The Montgomery County Commissioner appointed Deborah Hall assistant director for social services and income support in the Department of Job and Family Services. She will earn $111,155 per year. Hall has been a supervisor with the department for 10 years.

Improving call center operations is Hall’s next priority after ensuring a smooth transition to the new Medicaid application process.

“I want to move our call center from a message-taking center to a one-touch center where eligibility determiners can really move cases forward right away,” Hall said. JOANNE HUIST SMITH
