Clancy’s Tavern announced Friday evening it will be temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee’s last shift at the Clancy’s at 5514 Burkhardt Road in Dayton was on July 2 and the worker is doing well, its Facebook post said.

“While we believe the risk to be very low, to ensure the absolute safety of our team members and guests we will be testing all employees for COVID-19 during this time,” Clancy’s posted on its Facebook page.

Clancy’s is one of several businesses to announce temporary closures after positive COVID-19 tests.

Most recently, The Brick Tap & Tavern in Huber Heights announced Friday that it was closed after two of six owners and an employee ⁠— all of the same family — tested positive for the coronavirus.
