The driver of the pickup truck, Robert Glardon, 20, from Bellbrook, was uninjured and was wearing his seat belt. Schaffer was partially ejected from his vehicle, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 12:42 p.m. in the 3700 block of Wilmington Dayton Road.
The crash reportedly caused live power lines to fall.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said that alcohol is not considered a factor in this crash and it remains under investigation. The Sugarcreek Twp. Police and Fire Department assisted at the scene.
